A Year Without a Job tells the story of two modern women navigating unemployment and everyday challenges. Da Yu, a 30-year-old woman, finds herself at a crossroads in the corporate world, facing stringent requirements that hinder her progress. On the other hand, Xiao Yu, a girl born in 1995, quits her job out of boredom and inadvertently becomes roommates with Da Yu. Throughout their year of joblessness, they learn from each others strengths and weaknesses. Da Yu discovers new ways to approach life while Xiao Yu learns the value of hard work and dedication.
